GBM Law Makes Pledge to Pelotonia

GBM Law is proud to announce their support of this year’s Pelotonia. Founded in 2008, Pelotonia, which is a bicycle ride, has been an extremely successful cancer research fundraiser. 100% of the money earned goes directly to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.

For his 5th straight year, Scott McLafferty, husband of GBM Law’s Sydney McLafferty, will be riding his bike 50 miles in this fundraising effort. To show their support of Scott and his dedication to this cause, GBM Law has pledged $700 to Scott’s ride. Scott, who rides with Team Buckeye’s the OSU Athletics Department team, was motivated to join the effort in 2012 shortly after his father finished his first round of treatment for prostate cancer.

Scott shared his thoughts on his involvement with Pelotonia: With my own father’s diagnosis, cancer became very personal. Joining the efforts of Pelotonia has been so rewarding for me. Every year, I am amazed at all of the people who come out and stand along the route, thanking the riders with signs and cheers of encouragement. That, combined with the fact that 100% of the money I raise goes straight to research, gets me coming back year after year. If you would like to join GBM Law and their support of Scott’s ride, you can find his rider donation page here.
